So yesterday I tried making an ornament using a transparency and glass ball ornament. Now I was thinking that sharpie markers were going to work but they really didn't show up like I wanted. So then I remembered I once painted on the back of a transparency so I gave that a try! I stamped the Happy Crabby image on the front and painted on the back. I also had some sparkle glass paint I used on the crab and on the snow to give it a nice winter effect. I put the sparkle on the front and on the back to see if it made a difference and I think it gave more of a 3d effect on the front. I then printed out a 2.5 inch circle and then positioned the painted crab within the circle and then cut out. The one thing I did was cut the circle a little to small, for when I curled it up to put inside the ornament it kept on falling forward and backward. Luckly the prongs from the top hold the image in place so it shouldn't fall anymore. So remember to cut the circle a tad bigger than what you outlined and also when curling us a pen or pencil to curl your image around so you don't crease the transparency. All in all I really like how this came out! I think I may make some ornaments for christmas this year. I wanted to get some fake snow and toss that in the ornament too! You could even write sayings or decorate the outside of the ornament too. I was going to draw some snowflakes in the background on the transparency but I couldn't get it to look right so I left them out!
I am excited to post these cute penguin earrings I made with my Penguin Fun 2 Cute Rubber Stamp! They were so much fun to make, I can't wait to make more! These Penguin Fun earrings are now for sale in my Etsy Shop.
I am thinking about posting some of the 2 Cute Rubber Stamped crafts I make for sale in my Etsy shop. I recently just made a pair of cute shrinky dink earrings with my Penguin fun stamp and added a cute scarf to him! I just need to attach them to earring posts, take a picture and post! I should have them up for sale by tomorrow! :)
A couple years back my step mom showed me a cool homemade glass ornament using a clear glass ball ornament, a transparency and an embroidery machine. I thought it was such a great idea and wanted to adapt the craft to using rubber stamps. The basic idea is that you would rubber stamp on the front of the transparency and then color with permanent markers on the back. You then cut it out in the shape of a circle and roll it up to fit inside the clear glass ornament. The transparency will then expand to its normal shape so you will be able to see a floating image! I found a tutorial online for making these christmas ornaments using a photo printed out on the transparency but this will give you an idea on how to make it! I bet you can also use digital stamps too and print them right on the transparency!

Thanks so much and hope everyone is having a great weekend! So My mom and I didn't get too many more craft projects done yesterday but I think we did a good job getting some stuff done! Usually when my mom comes to visit we say we are going to do tons of crafts and then we never end up getting anything done because the time goes by too fast! Oh I am going to post a couple pics of how messy my craft room got too! lol
Here are some of our creations: 1. I used Bendaroo's to make a stickable wall hanging using my Bumble Bee Cutie Digi, which was a bit trickery than I thought, but I think it came out pretty neat! I coated the top with mod podge to give it a glossy look! 2. My mom made a cute card with my Sting Ray Kids cling cushion rubber stamp, she decorated the envelope to0 and used distressed ink, which I thought created a neat effect! She also made a cute card with my Cowboy Kid rubber stamp too using the cutest paper! 3. I decorated a mini flower pot with my Sleep Lady Bug cling cushion rubber stamp and used soufle pens and a red glitter gel pen! I just need to put mod podge over it to seal it now! Oh I forgot I colored my Sting Ray image too to hang on my wall! 4. We both made shrinky dinks and colored them using prisma color pencils, crayola and also memory pencils! I am going to make my Penguins into earrings and my mom is going to make either a charm bracelet or a necklace! I put the before and after pics up of the shrinky dinks so you can see how much they shrank! Here are a few customer creations from my Finland Friends Satu and Anu! Such cute cards :) using Mermaid and Friends Digital Stamp and Arctic Friends Polar Bear and Penguin Digital Stamp!
My mom is here visiting this week and we have been making some cute crafts with 2 Cute Rubber Stamps! So far we have colored some Shrinky Dinks, made a couple cards and tried out the Bendaroos! I will be posting some pics of our creations later today! The rest of the day and tomorrow we may try some Quilling, Stamping on Candles and making some Stamped Wood Pendants and Pins.
So I have a box of Bendaroos that I haven't opened yet and I was looking up different ways to use them. I found out you can spiral the bendable wax and make flat pictures! So I thought how cool would it be to take your favorite 2 Cute Digital Stamp and make a fun colorful picture? I was thinking once you "fill in" your digi with the Bendaroo's you could put in a picture frame to hang on the wall. Also I was just thinking I wonder if you could make them into an ornament and gloss with a sealant?
