I am glad it is a nice sunny day today because it gave me a chance to photograph some of my clay jewelry  pieces that I made with my mom when she was in for a visit!  We originally were just going to make pendants and then I had the idea why not some cute rings!  I have not sealed/glossed any of my pieces yet for I am afraid of air bubbles or tackiness that might mess up the jewelry.  I also like the "raw" clay finish look so I am not sure yet what I will do.  Once I get everything figured out I am going to open up a

So I wanted to create another inspirational sketch and thought why not a Jellyfish who is just having fun! With her hands raised in the air she is just dancing to her favorite tune!  I like the whimsical feel of both the jellyfish and the crab, what do you think?

I created this little "Yoga Crab Sketch" when I was feeling a little overwhelmed about a week or so ago.  I have been thinking of taking up yoga to relax more and also for exercise!  I actually have a few more ideas for fun yoga inspired creatures.  What I was really excited about was that I sketched this design in my sketchbook then took a picture of it and used an instagram filter!  I just love the look that it created don't you!

I am excited to be back and drawing again!  While on my break I was asked to draw a cute turtle sleeping for a new up and coming business that would be using the image on baby/kids bedding.  So I went to work and based my design off my my freebie digital stamp Little turtle since that was the image they liked.  I then remembered it was going to be turned into embroidery and knew the small turtle design would not translate well.  I started doodling while keeping in mind to create "chunky pieces" so it can translate in to embroidery and this is what I came up with!  I have always loved patchwork on characters and have added it time to time, I need to do a series of patchwork animals because it is just so much fun to add the little detail.  You can now find Sleeping Turtle in the 2 Cute Ink digital stamp shop!

Since I have taken a little break from drawing I am reaching the point of starting again!  I want to start fresh and have fun.  I have decided to change my tag line from "Cute Illustrations" to "Cute Art" and not only get back into drawing but get back into crafting as well!  One of my goals is to create a new banner for this site so I think I will start there. :)
