So I am starting to work on an art licensing portfolio. My first piece I will be working with will be my birthday dino image, that I currently use for my website banner. In my art consulting class I was told I need to think of what types of products my art would go on! So my first step is to think of products that have to do with birthday, think about adding additional characters and think about color schemes and patterns. So my assignment is to do a search of birthday/partyware and find designs that I like and see how I can adapt my birthday dino into partyware! I also think it would be cute to design a b-day invitation along with seeing about turning my designs into edible images to put on birthday cakes! Time to go search and start brainstorming ideas :).

I just wanted to share some new art I created for a FREEBIE digital stamp and also for a licensed Digitized Embroidery image. This cute little bunny originally sat by himself but for the digi I added some cute easter eggs! You can actually find out how to get this FREEBIE over at the 2 Cute Ink DT blog! ( It will only be free for a limited time.) A new challenge starts their today so go and check it out! Hope you enjoy!
I wanted to share that Adobe offers 30 day free trials of their awesome programs photoshop and illustrator.
I recently downloaded the lastet version of Photoshop to work on my Mac laptop vs my PC laptop! I really love working on my Mac right now rather than my PC because it is much faster! I do all of my editing in photoshop and Illustrator and I plan on using it more for creating my promotional pieces. I have also colored my piec in photoshop before I got my Ipad, so coloring digital stamps is something you can do in here too! Now the prices of the programs are a bit on the expensive side but I the 30 day trial is free so you can create, color and have fun for 30 days! As I have been taking my art consulting class with Holli Conger, I am learning that I need to make lots of changes! The major change is to make 2 Cute Ink about the "Art" as a whole and not just about digital stamps! The first thing I need to do is:
1. Start thinking of 2 Cute Ink as: 2 Cute ink- Cute Illustrations by Heidi Schwoerer- Illustrator and licensing artist! So right off the bat I am going to have the 2 Cute Design team start posting on their own blog! I think this will be good because it will keep all the digital stamps separate from other products and images that I will be working on. I will also be making changes to the look and feel of my website, so make sure to check back to see all the changes plus also the new 2 Cute Ink digital stamp schedule! :) With spring quickly approaching, I think it's time for a little happy dance, don't you?! Heidi's Owl Sparklers is the perfect image for such an occasion! Add a little glitter to his glasses and he's all set to celebrate!
Enjoy your weekend and THINK SPRING! :) Melissa This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. Yeah, spring is on it's way. I was so happy to put March in the title today. Welcome to another card inspiration using
2 Cute Ink's digital image Milk and Cookies Cat & Dog. I have used the cat image in a previous post for the topper to my cookies for a cookie exchange. Enjoy and have a great week. Sandy Welcome to a great Monday. Hope you all had a great and creative weekend . My card today features Owl Miss You and I think this is a great multi-tasker. This image would work great for a bunch of different projects. I am using it for my sister, being that I missed her birthday.
Isn't every day a good day for a cupcake? I think today certainly is and I decided to use the adorable Mini Cupcake to make another clean and simple card! Doesn't this image just make you want to go bake some cupcakes?! The weekend is right around the corner, so you could if you really wanted to! :)
Have a great one! Melissa |
