So I colored these cute cherries using my ipad ! I used the sketchbook pro app! I haven't used it before so I just kinda played around with it. I think it turned out pretty good, I wanted to capture a nice "soft" look. I have added it to my Illustration portfolio, and I am thinking I may use this design for my wedding invitations! Let me know what you think!
Here are 3 nature rubber stamp designs I did for Innovative Stamp Creations! I have worked with Betsy in the past, so I am glad she had a few more designs for me to do! It is nice to do a variety of work, from whimsical nature to more cartoony and cute!
I thought it would be a good Idea to add a Craft Ideas section, where everyone can have easy access on finding rubber stamp and digital stamp crafts on my blog! I always love finding new things to make with rubber stamps and digital stamps! So just click the
Craft Ideas Button above or here to find some cute and fun rubber stamp crafts! I found this great tutorial this morning on stamping on marble tiles on CraftBits.com. I am sure you can use this same idea for ceramic tiles too! I wonder if you could rubber stamp on cork square tiles? I would like to create one of these tiles to put on my stove, for decoration and to put my wooden and plastic spoons on when I am using them!. I think I need to create some fun food stamp designs like, cute carrots, peppers maybe even some cute little onions! You could make coasters out of these too and probably even little wall hangings. I can't wait to try this out sometime! Has anyone stamped on marble, ceramic or cork tiles before?
So you may remember these little cherries! I had sketched them out a while back for a rubber stamp design sketch. I loved those cherries so much I was thinking about using them for my wedding invitations. I came up with 4 different versions yesterday on what I could do to make those cherries look extra cute for a wedding! I have also posted the initial sketch too so you can see what changes I made to each! Next step is to pick out the one I like and add some color to them, hmm... I may just add a little color to each of them. Let me know what you think! If you like any of these designs I will put it in my wedding rubber stamp line too!
I was thinking about starting a "Valentine" Challenge! Where you can use any 2 Cute Rubber Stamp or digital stamp and make the design represent Valentine's day. You could do that by using reds, pinks and purples, add cute sentiments and fun papers!
The idea here is to be creative and show how 2 Cute Rubber Stamps can be used for just about any occasion!!! I have been asked to create a few nature rubber stamps for a company called Innovative Stamp Creations! I have worked with Betsy in the past and created flowers, trees, tags etc. I wanted to show you a little sneak peaks of 3 designs I sketched for her. I got the approval so now I just need to ink them this week! I will post the final images next week!
So I decided the best way to do my 2 Cute Illustrations and 2 Cute Rubber Stamps is to blog about both on here! This way I don't have to have separate blogs or facebook pages!
Now I just need to finish my first portfolio piece and get my first freelance project sketches posted on here! Time to get to work! I am giving myself about 8 weeks to:
A. Work on new stamp lines B. Work on a new Portfolio I am trying to "plan" more instead of just winging it, hoping I can be more organized and work towards goals each week. I do know I am starting off with a "wedding" theme stamp line and I have been gathering images from magazines and online for inspiration. This of course not only for my stamps but for me as well, since I am trying to figure out my own wedding plans! I am also designing my wedding invitations as my first portfolio piece! I can't wait to see how everything turns out! If you have any ideas for wedding themed stamps, submit them to the "Your Ideas" page! |
