I thought this request for a pirate birdie was such a cute idea!  While I was creating this birdie I thought of another idea that I may sketch this week!   I just finished up this quick pirate birdie sketch and I felt I needed to add just a hint of color to get that pirate feeling!

I doodled the first two designs this morning and the others I doodled last night! I am having fun experimenting and finding inspiration.  I used micron pends and also sharpie markers, I even used my blue gel pen on the "Blue Circles"  The blue came out a little brighter.  I am going to search for more markers and pens when I go shopping again.  I want to try the new paint sharpies or the sharpies for coloring on fabric?  I want a more vibrant look!

After taking a little break from doodling on scrabble tiles I started back up again yesterday.  I just need to keep experimenting away so I can get the right look I want.  One of the challenges is creating a fun background that doesn't blend with the character.  I also have been playing around with fun abstract shapes and flowers, plus adding color.  It is actually really fun to just doodle away.  It is fun to also look for inspiration too, I doodled a couple tiles this morning based from patterns in papers from one of the 2 Cute Ink DT birthday cards!  

 I am taking sketch request ideas on my 2 Cute Ink facebook page on what to draw!  So if you have any ideas or requests be sure to let me know.  I got a request to sketch a magical rabbit in a hat and here is what I came up with!

I have been trying to get my 2 Cute Ink digital stamp shop fully stocked, with all my cute images!  It is a little process for I have to resize and water mark but it is all coming together.  As I look at all my different art I have made through out the last couple years I have noticed a few different styles that evolved.  I think certain designs fit well with different "ink" lines.   My goal is to get ALL my images uploaded to the shop and then keep on creating new art for digital stamps, clear stamps and embroidery!   I then need to REALLY take the next step and start adding some color to my work.  Whether I want to try and sell my own products with my images on them or start getting my foot in the door with art licensing I NEED colored art.   

It is funny how you get spur of the moment ideas!  I originally created this frog standing on a surf board, it was cute but it was still missing something.  I was doing a little brainstorming with my fans on my 2 cute ink facebook page and people wanted to see more birthday, flowers everyday kind of images.  I looked at my frog again and thought of this cute Idea of a froggie holding a flower on a lily pad while a little bee buzzes by.  I really like how I drew the arms and legs with whimsical lines and would like to do a few more characters like that.  I got the idea from my cat-knit image where it has that whimsical feel.    "Sweet Froggie" is now for sale as a 2 Cute Ink Digital Stamp!

I got a request to draw a unicorn, which I never have drawn before but I just recently finished up a zebra and a giraffe digital stamp illustrations and I just took the same basic shape and made a unicorn!  I think it came out pretty cute!

I had another request for a bat eating candy.  So the first halloween candy that came to mind was candy corn!  I really how this bat turned out!  I decided to give the candy corns some color so you could tell what he had in his mouth.

Yesterday I got a request to sketch a cute spider sitting on top of a pumpkin!  I  dabbled with putting a mouth on the spider but I liked it better with the spider just having eyes! :)  Can't wait to get this one inked up and also colored!
