So I have decided to take a break from drawing and try out some other ways to be creative! I always loved polymer clay and have wanted to make really fun and colorful jewelry. So yesterday my mom and I dipped into my small stash of clay that I have had for a while now, pulled out 5 fun Premo clay colors and created these fun clay pieces using a clay gun extruder. We followed this technique from a small booklet I bought at michaels. I really loved the fact that you have no clue what type of patterns will come out of the clay extruder so it is like a little surprise every time! The picture above is my favorite set of clay pieces, I just love the colors! Now not everything that we did yesterday came out like this! Some were a bit muddy in color and some color combos were not as pleasing. I really would love to do more experimenting to see how I can always get really fun and unique patterns every time! So I will be doing more experimenting this week for sure. So today and tomorrow my goal is to make jewelry from these clay pieces. I can't wait to see how these clay pieces will transform into a pendant! Below are all the the clay pieces we made last night!

I am happy to be back and creating new art again! This cute birdie design was from a customer request! They needed a cute girl birdie playing soccer for a project they wanted to create! So I went to work and ended up creating this little cutie! Soccer Birdie is now available in the 2 Cute Ink Digital Stamp Shop!
Right now I am making changes to 2 Cute Ink. I hope to be back up and running really soon and plan on having an etsy shop again to sell my digital stamps as instant downloads, sell digital stamps directly here on 2cuteink.com or open the shop.2cuteink site again! Like I said before I want to take my art career to a new level and create more colored pieces for art licensing and to enter on threadless. Hope to be back and creating art really soon
I believe it is about that time in my art career that I start focusing more on colored art vs just black and white line art. As I posted some of my colored art on my portfolio page and also looked at some designs sitting on my iPad I thought "I need to do something with these". So I have an Idea of where I can submit some of these colored pieces and also create new ideas. That would be a place called Threadless! I submitted 2 designs a while back and then just never submitted anything again. I believe it was because I couldn't think of anything "really creative" since that is the majority of what people post. I took a look at threadless kids today and saw there are a few just "cute" entires and they also have a separate contest going. I thought why not enter some of my designs I already have colored to Threadless? It couldn't hurt right? Plus it would give me a starting point on creating some new cute colored art! :) I already know which design I want to enter in the separate wittlebee + threadless kids contest!
