I just whipped this sketch up of a cute snowman couple! I know this idea has been floating around on my 2 cute ink facebook page for a while now and when someone suggested I draw a snowman yesterday this is what came to mind! I also decided to draw in my sketchbook rather then on my iPad and used a purple pencil to start sketching with instead of my usual blue! What do you think?

I am excited that 2 Cute Ink digital stamps are back! I was very lost without them for that short while and i am glad I can license my art and also create digital stamps at the same time! I have decided to re-open my etsy shop too! I figure the more places the digital stamps are the better! I will probably only carry the newer designs and also some fan favorites in the 2 Cute Ink etsy shop and in the regular 2 Cute Ink digi shop I will have all designs which is currently over 80 designs!
New Line Art: " Snowball Penguin" a 2 Cute Ink Digital Stamp and Possible Applique Design11/28/2012 I am excited about this little snowball penguin because he is the "second" in a series of penguins I am creating! ( Penguin Present is the first in the series). My plan is to color all 3 penguins in the set and that will be my first "Collection" for my art license portfolio! Right now this cute Snowball Penguin is now available in my 2 Cute Ink Etsy Shop! This Snowball Penguin also has a chance at becoming a digitized applique design too!.
I am excited to be sharing a brand new 2 Cute Ink digital stamp "Snowboard Birdie"! I really love this little chubby bird! I almost think you could color him either as a bird or a penguin! The really cool thing is that this design also has a chance of becoming a digitized applique design! Snowboard Birdie is now available as and INSTANT DIGITAL STAMP download in my etsy shop!
I am very excited to announce that I will be licensing my art to Whimsy Stamps!
They will be taking some of my previous digital stamps and turning them into cling cushion rubber stamp sets! One excited thing is I can still sell those designs that were in my shop as digital stamps, which means I will be re-opening the 2 Cute Ink digi shop! (more about that in my next post)! The first cling stamp set releases from Whimsy and 2 Cute Ink will be in January 2013! So I am very excited that Hang to Dry has turned my Penguin Present line art into a Digitized applique design! I love seeing how the art translate to stitches and fabric! Above are some cute project samples from Hang to dry appliqué! I love them all! You can pick up your own digitized appliqué present penguin in the Hang to Dry Shop!
I have stumbled across the Art Licensing Info Website by Tara Reed but I never really gave it a good look until now! It has tons of information on art licensing and so many great ebooks! I received this ebook above "The Goal Wheel for Artists by Tara Reed" as a gift on Sunday (which was super nice and unexpected). I downloaded it on Sunday and started reading! I was so excited because everything I was reading sounded like me! I also loved the fact there are worksheets to print out! I ended up reading the first 30 pages and filled out a few of the worksheets. I am so excited about this book that I had to tell everyone about it, I believe this book will help me get organized and plan for my goals and dreams with my art and also in my everyday life! Since I was feeling sick yesterday I didn't get to continue reading, but I am sure going to start up again today! You can purchase a copy of this ebook here!
Also another great thing is that if you purchase this ebook or other books through any of the links on my blog you will help support 2 Cute Ink too! I can't wait to continue reading and also dive right into all the other great ebooks and info that Art Licensing Info has to offer! This book is a must have for everyone! :). Being organized is the key to getting anything done and I wanted to try and find an IPad app that will help me with this. So I decided this morning to do a little research on all the "Free" planner, to do, notebooks and calendar apps. I download them to my iPad so I can test them out today and see which ones I like. Here are the list of apps I downloaded (above is a screen shot of most of the apps I downloaded to try out)
1. Pretty Planner( had already)- going to revisit 2. Evernote(had already)-also going to revisit 3. Planner Free 4. Planner HD 5. iStudiez Lite 6. Teed 7. Media 8. Busy Me 9. Notebook 10. To do 11. ScheduleST. HD 12. Time Optimizer 13. Cozi 14. MobileNoter 15. Outline 16. Moleskin 17. Errands 18. Easy Note 19. Paperless Lite 20. Astrid 21. CalenMob 22. aCal Lite 23. N+OTES 24. Taskify 25. Calendars (comes with iPad) 26. Reminders(comes with iPad) So tomorrow I should have it narrowed down to a few apps that I think will help me with my art journey! I am always a firm believer of following your heart and going for what "YOU" want. Throughout my art journey I have freelanced, started my own rubber stamp business, started a digital stamp business, began to license my artwork, while trying to keep up with my own digital stamps! I began to realize what I like and what I don't like, what I am good at and what I am not. After much thinking I have made the decision to go full force with licensing my art! This has meant me closing my digital stamp shop and not having to worry about being a business, it means I can now just be an artist and focus! Since I made this decision last night I have felt like a new me! I am ready to give it my all and see where it goes! So far I lOVE seeing my art as clear stamps, I remember the first sample package I got from Lil inker Designs in the mail, I literally was jumping up and down excited. I should have realized that day that was my heart jumping up and down :). I do love how Bunnycup Embroidery turned my images in to digitized embroidery and now I love my new journey that I just started with 'Hang to Dry" Applique and the ""Coolness" of seeing my line art digitized and then turned into a really piece of "Fabric Art", whether someone decides to stitch the image out on a t-shirt or apron it is so so fun to see. I think the one thing about licensing line art to these companies is that it is art that is turned into a product that people then use! They create, cards, tags, crafts, t-shirts, blankets, aprons you name it! It is really a rewarding process for me!
I am glad to say that today I am ready to start this new journey! |
