I am excited to be back and drawing again! While on my break I was asked to draw a cute turtle sleeping for a new up and coming business that would be using the image on baby/kids bedding. So I went to work and based my design off my my freebie digital stamp Little turtle since that was the image they liked. I then remembered it was going to be turned into embroidery and knew the small turtle design would not translate well. I started doodling while keeping in mind to create "chunky pieces" so it can translate in to embroidery and this is what I came up with! I have always loved patchwork on characters and have added it time to time, I need to do a series of patchwork animals because it is just so much fun to add the little detail.
