Happy Crabby Stamped Soap

Today I made my first rubber stamped soap. I bought green dial soap, white dial soap and some off brand from the dollar store. I tired to even out the white dial soap by slicing it with a razor but that didn't go to well. It was very hard to get the soap even and by the time I was done the soap was half gone! lol Not to mention the soap smell gave me such a headache lol. So I noted when I purchase more soap to maybe get unscented.
I decided to use my "Happy Crabby" stamp on the green dial soap. The directions said to use StarsOn ink and permanent markers to color in your image but I just used an ink pad I had and prisma color pencils. I was worried that the ink would smear once I put the Mod Podge on!. Oh I also used my white paint pen to create little highlights and make the eyes stand out more! Once I had everything colored in I cut as close to the crab as possible, put down some mod podge on the soap then stuck down the tissue paper crab and slathered on mod podge on top.
As you can see the black ink did not smear when I put the mod podge on top, but it did make the black fade, so I had to go back and touch up the black lines with a extra fine point sharpe. So I bet if I use the StarsOn ink it won't fade! Over all I think it came out pretty cool and I do like the look of using colored soap!

Yeah it works great! I wasn't sure how well it would work on colored soap because the tutorial calls for white soap! I can't wait to try other colors too!
