When I cut out my bumble bee on the transfer paper I cut out the same size square of the actual wood. I did this because, the directions said to cut as close as possible to the image so you won't have a halo effect. I really didn't want that at all so I thought why not cover the entire wood piece with the transfer paper because it is clear. So my idea worked and there was no halo created! What I then wanted was to seal it, so I put a coat of triple thick gloss glaze on top. What I didn't expect is that it made a crackle pattern out of the clear parts of the transfer paper! I thought it gave it a cool look! Though I am not sure what I want to do with this little creation but, I am thinking of just sticking a pink backing on the back!
So yesterday I wanted to try and use my Rub Onz transfer paper, my paint pens and a flat wooden square and see what I could come up with. I decided to use my Bumble Bee Cutie Digital Stamp, because you can print right on the transfer paper. I decided just to color in the bumble bee stripes black on the computer before I printed her out! I got inspired to start coloring circles on the wooden square because the grain of the wood had a circle pattern.
