So one of my goals is to ink my sketches as I go! Over the years I have created sketches that end up sitting in my sketchbook or on my iPad and then I forget about them! So today on Facebook I asked what I should sketch today and the first person that answered said a horse with a heart! I have to admit I have never drawn a horse before so I looked at my Lucky Unicorn digital stamp as a reference and eventually came up with this sketch! I really loved the idea of giving the horse a pony tail with her long hair!
So I started an IDEA list on the 2 Cute Ink Facebook Page where everyone can list Ideas of what they would like me to draw! If I pick your idea you will get that design FREE once I turn it into a digital stamp! So Last night I picked a Sloth from the list that Gloria suggested, she said maybe have him eating leaves, so I thought what about a branch with leaves on it? I then thought what about having a cute flower in his mouth and then my mind kept going and going. So I decided to post this sketch and a sketch with a flower in his mouth on Facebook to see what kind of feedback I will get. I thought about leaving the sloth plain and then having accessory stamps for if you wanted to have a branch with leaves in his mouth you could add it or if you wanted the flower you could add it. I then though what about having a cute graduation hat or even a party hat? Sometimes my mind starts thinking and it won't stop! So feel free to leave your feed back for the sloth here or on the Sloth Facebook post and don't forget to post YOUR IDEA on Facebook for a chance at getting your idea picked and a FREE digi!
So it is National Nurses Week this week so I thought I would sketch a girl nurse. I am excited to start drawing more human characters and I need to practice, practice, practice! I hope to get this design inked by the end of the week!
I really need to start each day sketching and posting it on my blog! I love doing fun doodles, they sometime inspire other ideas! Make sure to follow along on my 2 Cute Ink Instagram!
So I thought it would be fun to create an older girl maybe graduating from high school or college! I thought bigger eyes instead of my usual small eyes would make her look older! I have a few other designs I started with this girl character and can't wait to finish them up.
So there has been some requests on Facebook to start drawing more kids! So today I decided to do a sketch of a little girl in a graduation cap and gown. I thought she came out pretty cute! I am thinking to do a boy in a graduation cap and gown and maybe even a cute pup! :)
This morning I started to doodle and I came up with this cute little bird hula hooping! I am trying to go back to my older drawing style that has more form and movement. I am starting to hear the birds chirp outside and that always means warmer weather is on it's way!
So I decided to sketch a cute little nerdy owl. I was inspired by my library trip and also from a fan that said they liked nerdy owls. I decided to play around with the eyes and make them bigger than I usually do. I gave her brown framed glasses like mine and labeled her books : "Etsy", "Polymer Clay" and "Harry Potter". I think my favorite part of drawing is sketching….. you don't have to be exact and you can just run wild with ideas!
So I have been meaning to sit down and draw this sketch since monday. I got a sketch request to draw a cute lab pup. I am not that good at drawing dog breeds so I pulled up a few real lab pup photos for reference and came up with this little pup! I actually just finished up some cute easter images that I made all look fuzzy and I thought why not adapt that style to the cute pup? So I added short small lines around the pups head to act as fuzzy fur and I really love the look!
So here is the sketch I created via a request on Facebook a cute little girl turtle holding a star fish! I think this design came out pretty cute! Make sure to join my 2 Cute Ink Facebook page so you can have fun suggesting ideas of what I should draw :)
