So I had this idea to draw a little kid penguin holding his mom's or dad's hand along with holding his favorite stuffed toy! I had the idea to crop the image to make it into a little scene! I thought he came out so cute so I added some color to which you can see below! Little Penguin Love digital stamp is now available in the 2 Cute Ink etsy shop!
I am excited to do a FREEBIE digital stamp giveaway! I am not to far away from reaching 5000 fans on Facebook so I thought why not have a FREEBIE once I hit 5000 fans. This morning I started to doodle and I came up with this cute little bird hula hooping! I am trying to go back to my older drawing style that has more form and movement. I am starting to hear the birds chirp outside and that always means warmer weather is on it's way!
Today is a NEW challenge plus NEW digital stamp releases! I happy to release some fun easter digitals stamps along with having an Easter Challenge! So make sure you stop by the
2 Cute Ink Challenge Blog to see all the DT wonderful creations and see how you can enter the challenge!. I had fun drawing and inking these characters and I really love the fuzzy look! I think I want to make an entire line of cute fuzzy animal… what do you think? Oh and don't forget all these digital stamps are available in the 2 Cute Ink Digi Shop! So I decided to sketch a cute little nerdy owl. I was inspired by my library trip and also from a fan that said they liked nerdy owls. I decided to play around with the eyes and make them bigger than I usually do. I gave her brown framed glasses like mine and labeled her books : "Etsy", "Polymer Clay" and "Harry Potter". I think my favorite part of drawing is sketching….. you don't have to be exact and you can just run wild with ideas!
So I recently went to the library and checked out a few books! Now even though this is an older book I really liked the message " A Seven- Step Plan That Will Change Your Life" I have decided I need to figure out how to make time for my other interests and projects. As you know I want to try new things this year such as create products and try some new crafts and I think this book will help me on making time to start my new adventures! I plan on taking a few notes and maybe even sharing what I learned in each chapter!
I sent over a few of my new digital stamps to my mom and she made this cute little card with my Little Leprechaun image. I told my mom to use some sort of punch around the image vs. cutting it out and I think she did a great job! My mom will be visiting at the end of the month and we are going to do some crafting, now I don't make cards myself but I may try to make some or I was even thinking a bookmark?
So for Shamrock mouse I sketched him right in adobe ideas starting off in a light blue pencil. I then added a second layer to go back and refine the initial sketch in grey. ( I love being really sketchy). Then I added another layer and began to ink over the sketchy lines in black. I sometimes find it easier to ink lines past the actual sketch lines. This makes it easier to get a nice flowing line and I made sure to keep them all on different layers so clean up is easy and you only are erasing what you don't need! Lastly I go to another layer and start adding more details to the shoes hat and shamrock. One key thing is I use different size lines for different parts of the mouse. I used a 2.5 size pencil for the eyes and mouth and used a 3 and 3.5 to ink the rest. I always seem to change my inking style, sometimes I use a lot thicker lines, some thinner and some even sketchy!
So I have been meaning to sit down and draw this sketch since monday. I got a sketch request to draw a cute lab pup. I am not that good at drawing dog breeds so I pulled up a few real lab pup photos for reference and came up with this little pup! I actually just finished up some cute easter images that I made all look fuzzy and I thought why not adapt that style to the cute pup? So I added short small lines around the pups head to act as fuzzy fur and I really love the look!
