So here is the sketch I created via a request on Facebook a cute little girl turtle holding a star fish! I think this design came out pretty cute! Make sure to join my 2 Cute Ink Facebook page so you can have fun suggesting ideas of what I should draw :)
I am excited to share my girl gnome sketch today. Yesterday I decided that I really really need to start drawing your great ideas. So I asked on my 2 Cute Ink Facebook page what should I sketch. The first response was a gnome and then I asked girl or boy? So a girl gnome is what the final idea was! So I started to sketch a "big" nose (which you can still see since it didn't erase well) lol but then switched to a cute button nose. I then thought it would be cute to add braids and a heart pattern on her dress/apron. I also gave her some little pointy elf looking shoes too. I really had fun sketching this design and think a series of gnomes would be cute to draw.
I have decided I am going to try and do a "sketch" session everyday! My goal is to do this right away in the morning.. Not only am I creating art for digital stamps but also sending sketches and inked images to appliqué and embroidery companies. I am going to be experimenting with different drawing styles and hope to get more human characters drawn too! So I am always needing to come up with new and fresh drawings all the time. So today I came up with this cute little girl fox. :)
So I was inspired to draw a girl character last night. I wanted to incorporate a little of myself into the character so I gave her really long hair and holding a starbucks carmel frap lol. ( I don't drink coffee much but when I do, I always get the carmel frap). I tried to give her glasses like mine but it just did not work! I shy away from drawing human characters but I really want to try and break out of my shell. I am finding I really like sketching in adobe ideas and then add color on top of the image right away. I just love seeing how the color brings life to the character!
So my dogs love to be by me all the time and that means even when I am drawing or on the computer! It sometimes is uncomfortable to draw over cosmo's head and I may have accidentally managed to roll over Bear's paw a time or too! Even though they may get me mad sometimes I love these pups! They have been inspirations for some of my sketches and this picture reminds me that I need to draw more dogs! Cosmo was the inspiration behind "Party Chihuahua Doggie" digital stamp, which I had so much fun drawing.
So as many of you know I have returned to using etsy to sell my 2 Cute Ink digital stamps! I was using go daddy shopping cart but just felt like I was missing something. Etsy has this new thing where if you open an etsy shop you get 40 free listings and if you click on my link I will also get 40 free listings too! What a great way to help each other out!. I am hoping to open a shop to sell handmade crafts down the road and I couldn't think of a better place to sell them on than Etsy!
I am excited for our first New Challenge and New Digital Stamp releases today! The challenge is a color challenge Red, Teal and Brown and the new digi's all have a country theme! I had so much fun creating the country images, since I had some of these ideas stashed in a notebook. My DT Coordinator Sandy had a great idea to release a set of digital sentiments and she came up with some super cute words! I have had a blast re-vamping 2 Cute Ink digital stamps and glad to be starting challenges. Make sure to hop on over to the 2 Cute Ink Challenge blog to see all the DT creations and find out how you can enter the challenge and win FREE Stamps! Which country digi is your favorite? I am going to say my "Country Music Chick", I just thought that was a clever idea.
All new digital stamps are now available in the 2 Cute Ink Etsy Shop! I am very excited it is getting closer to Our First Challenge here at 2 Cute Ink! Make sure to hop on by and follow the NEW 2 Cute Ink Challenge blog and Grab a Challenge Badge or Shop Badge to put on you blog! Don't forget there will be some NEW cute digital stamps released to. So I had a little sketch session this morning and came up with this cute doggie golfer. I was trying to think of different sports and golfing popped into my head. My dad likes to golf and I went with him once to a golfing range and I could not hit one ball lol. I kept swinging and missing. I thought a nice plaid shirt and hat added fun pattern. One thing I want to incorporate to my drawings this year is patterns, I think more detail makes the characters come alive. Even though this little pup may not make the cut for a digital stamp I think it would be cute on a kids shirt, don't you? Hoping to start my art journal soon where I take some of my sketches/digital stamps and turn them into colored art, along with many other crazy crafty ideas I want to try.
I am excited to announce that 2 Cute Ink Digital Stamps will be starting a Challenge Blog with New Releases Starting Feb 17th! So make sure to hop on over and follow that blog!
